      Venezuela Natural Monument Cerro Autana:
      NATURAL MONUMENT
      CERRO AUTANA
      Location:
      Amazonas State
      Area:
      30 hectares.
      Declaration:
      Decree No. 2987 of 12 December 1978.
      Gazette E - No. 2417 from 07 Mars 1979.
      Protected ecosystems and
      relevant natural attractions:
      Formation of Precambrian sandstone, relict of an underground river whose gallery can see through the tepui, Autana river, lake Leopold.
      Tourist attractions:
      It is an impressive hill that rises above the Amazon rainforest, standing from a distance. It belongs to the lower Precambrian Roraima formation. This majestic tepuy includes among its unique attractions of the world's oldest caves formed entirely by curcitas, using it like a tunnel through the hill from one extreme to another.
      Activities Permitted:
      The observation of nature, hiking hills adjacent to the monument as Churuata, scientific research.
      Prohibited Activities:
      Not allowed to climb the monument and pose helicopters at its peak. Hunting for sport or commercial. The carrying of weapons.
      Schedules and fares:
