Tourist attractions: | It stands out as the only elevation (830 meters above sea level) throughout the Paraguana Peninsula and the greenery of its extraordinary contrast with the characteristic semi-desert environment of the peninsula. It has three peaks, the highest of these is the Santa Ana and the others are the Buena Vista and the Moruy. In the upper part is a cloud forest and lower the climate is semiarid. It has a breathtaking view from its summit from which there is the Sierra de San Luis, the Coro Dunes and to the islands of Aruba and Curacao in poor mist. | Activities Permitted: | Hiking, camping, picnicking, nature observation, hiking, outdoor recreation, scientific research. |
Prohibited Activities: | The cutting and burning of any form of vegetation. The extraction of specimens of flora and fauna. Lighting fires. The sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages. The carrying of weapons and firearms. Sports competitions to collect large numbers of people. The movement of vehicles and motorcycles. | Schedules and fares: | Visiting hours are from 07:00 am to 05:00 pm The schedule for promotion is from 07:00 to 09:00 am and for the decline is until 03:00 pm. For access to recreational areas must pay the fee of Bs 1,000 per person. |
