      Venezuela Alfredo Jahn Cave Natural Monument
      NATURAL MONUMENT
      Cueva Alfredo Jahn
      Location:
      Miranda State.
      Area:
      58 hectares.
      Declaration:
      Decree No. 2989 of 12 December 1978.
      According to Official Gazette No. E 2417 from 07 Mars 1979.
      Protected ecosystems and
      relevant natural attractions:
      Second longest cave in the country. Underground water course, development of horizontal galleries.
      Tourist attractions:
      It is one of the largest caverns in the country. It has 15 entries or mouths and development of horizontal galleries of 4295 meters, and a drop of 67 meters. For their roofs and walls leak huge amounts of water are drained and the main gallery of the river becomes the Cambural broken. On the outside a landscape of hills and mountains with dense vegetation.
      Activities Permitted:
      Hiking, caving trips, nature observation, scientific research.
      Prohibited Activities:
      Hunting for sport or commercial, the introduction and breeding of domestic animals, the carrying of weapons, the removal of flora and fauna, consumption and sale of alcoholic beverages and psychotropic substances.
      Schedules and fares:
      There are established. It is recommended to visit during daytime hours.
