      Guarico State
      Area:
      585,750 hectares.
      Declaration:
      Executive Decree No. 1686 from 07 Mars 1974.
      Gaceta Oficial No. 30,349 of 11 March 1974.
      Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions:
      		Shrub savannas with shrubs, riparian forests, morichales. Landscapes Ilaneros of banks, shoals and estuaries.
      Wildlife:
      		Fish are an essential element: peacocks (Cichla sp.) Cachamas (Colossoma sp.) Carib (Serrasalmus sp.) And eels (Electrophorus electricus). Are common dolphins river dolphins (Inia geoffrensis), the capybaras (Hydrochaeris hydrochaeris), the spectacled caiman (Caiman crocodilus) and large numbers of herons. It is remarkable the presence of the Orinoco crocodile (Crocodylus intermedius) and anaconda (Eunectes murinus).
      Flora:
      Rich in grasses, sedges, legumes and Rubiaceae. As elements are typical straw bolt (Trachypogon sp.), The little guy (Curatella americana), oak (Bowdichia virgiloides), the squat butter (Byrsonima crassifolia) and Ilanera palm (Copernicia tectorum).
      Water resources:
      Rivers Aguaro, Pouch, San Bartolo, Mocapra, and San Jose Guariquito the Orinoco River basin.
      Tourist Attractions:
      • Rivers Aguaro, Faldisquera, San Bartolo, Guariquito, Caujarito.
      • Socorro Gomez Lagunas, Garcitas, Caicara, English.
      • Recreational areas: Agua Blanca, Morichalote, Return of the Bear, Paso del Caballo, Pozo Azul, Manzanares Paso, Paso El Burro, Yagrumito, Paso Ancho. Cascón.
      • Path of interpretation: The Caminito del Morichal.
      Activities Permitted:
      Hiking, camping, outdoor recreation, bird watching, swimming in rivers, boating, hiking, sport fishing.
      Prohibited Activities:
      Hunting wild animals. Lighting fires. Extracting species of plants and animals. Leaving or throwing solid waste. Mark or cause damage to vegetation. Carrying firearms or any other that may cause damage to natural resources. Expense and consumption of alcoholic beverages. Introducing exotic species of wild animals. Make or commercial advertisements or political setting. Use of sound equipment that disturbs the tranquility of the park. Use insecticides. Pour polluters of any kind in the waterways. Taking pictures or filming for commercial purposes without permission. The commercial fishing.
