GENERAL NATIONAL PARK Manuel Manrique (Tirgu)
Location:	Cojedes and Yaracuy
Area:	91,000 hectares.
Declaration:	Decree No. 2346 dated 5 June 1992. Official Gazette No. 4548-E, 26 March 1993.
Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions:	Deciduous forests and semi-deciduous.
Wildlife:	Howler monkeys (Alouatta seniculus) and capuchin (Cebus sp.), Ocelot (Felis pardalis), paca (Agouti paca).
Flora:	Clusiáceas, mimosas, Myrtaceae and tiliaceus in the tree stratum, palms occupy large areas of the understory (Chamaedorea Wettinia and Geonoma).
Water resources:	Cojedes Rios, San Carlos and Acarigua. Orinoco River Basin.
Tourist attractions:	It is an important hydrological unit that gives rise to forests and savannas. It has important springs of water, especially the Rio Tirgua.
Activities Permitted:	Excursions, tours, scientific research.
Prohibited Activities:	Hunting, commercial fishing, extraction of flora and fauna, the discharge of pollutants to water courses, sporting competitions to concentrate large numbers of people, carrying firearms or any other that may cause damage to natural resources , expense and consumption of alcoholic beverages, use of sound equipment that disturbs the tranquility of the park, taking photographs or filming for commercial purposes without permission.
