Lara, Trujillo and Portuguesa.

Area:

45,328 hectares.

Declaration:

Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions:

Evergreen forests, cloud forests, Andean and Andean highlands. Water Nature Reserve.

Wildlife:

Puma (Felis concolor), ocelot (Felis pardalis), water dog (Opossum), small otter (Lutra longicaudis) pacarana (Dinomys branikii), helmeted currasow (Pauxi pauxi) eared owl (Bubo virginianus) , spectacled bear (Spectacled Bear), machicolation deer (Mazama americana) and caramerudo deer (Odocoileus virginianus).

Flora:

Frailejones (Espeletiinae). Endemic species and Plagiogyria semicordata cendeensis Drosera.

Water resources:

Surface drainage, with fast and frequent presence of torrential waterfalls, among which cascades Wine and Humocaro.
