Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions:

Including evergreen lowland forests Tepui, shrublands and grasslands Tepui. Tepuyes.

Wildlife:

There are more than 200 species of birds including the savanna of Duida (Emberizoides duidae herbicola), endemic to the Orinoco river, the Chirico (Nannopsittaca panychlora) and some very colorful as the bird lion (Blue-crowned Motmot). Among the mammals: the Marmosa of the table mountains (Marmosa tyleriana), jaguar (Panthera onca), tapir (Tapirus terrestris), otter (Pteronura brasiliensis).

Flora:

Approximately 10% of its endemic flora is rich in ferns, orchids, bromeliads, sedges, and ericaceous compound. Endemic: Tyleropappus, Brewecaria, Marahuacaea. Abundant species of the genus Bromelia insectivorous. Drosera, Heliamphora and Utricularia.

Water resources:

It is for the river basins Padamo, Iguape and Cunucunuma, right bank tributaries of the Orinoco River.

Tourist attractions:

• Jumping The Picure, Marana and Wamajatada in Cunucuma River.
• The flood of Raya.
• Petroglyphs near La Esmeralda.
• Black pipe.
• Walkways on the banks of Black River and Caño Cunucuma.

Activities Permitted:

The park can be done on dugouts, nature tourism, bird watching, beach activities, rowing and canoeing, camping, hiking, outdoor recreation.

Prohibited Activities:

Hunting, commercial fishing, extraction of flora and fauna, discharge of pollutants to water courses, sporting competitions to concentrate large numbers of people, carrying firearms or any other that may cause damage to natural resources, expense and consumption of alcoholic beverages, taking photographs or filming for commercial purposes without permission.
