Wildlife: | They live eight species of marsupials, including water dog (Opossum), three-toed sloth (Bradypus variegatus), Honey Bear (Southern Tamandua), three species of armadillo, including cuspón (Giant Armadillo), currently in danger of extinction. Over 50 species of bats. Many carnivorous species such as jaguar (Panthera onca), ferret (Galictis vittata), the skunk (Conepatus semistriatus), the cuchicuchi (Potos flavus).
