Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions: | Coastal grasslands, shrublands and coastal xerophytic coastal mangroves. Valuable coastal lagoon fantastic landscape. | Wildlife: | Several species of sea turtles nest along the beaches, population Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus), important fish stocks such as mullet (Mugil lisa), mullet (Mugil curema) and shrimp and Macrobrachium Panaeus gender. Diversity of birds: red scarlet ibis (Scarlet Ibis, COTU (Phalacrocorax olivaceu), pelican (Pelicanus occidentalis), frigate (Fregata magnificens). | Flora: | These four species of mangrove Rhizophora mangle, Avicennia clearly, Laguncularia racemosa and Conocarpus erectus, coastal species such as grass of glass (Salicornia fruticosa, Sesuvium portulacastrum and Batis maritima) and sea grape (Coccoloba uvifera) species like the Cremona (Thespesia populnea ). | Water resources: | Slow drainage, pipes marshes.
