Venezuela National Park Mochima:

NATIONAL PARK MOCHIMA
Location:	Anzoategui and Sucre.
Area:	94,935 hectares.
Declaration:	Decree No. 1534 of 19 December 1973. Gaceta Oficial No. 30,285 of 20 December 1973.
Management Plan and Regulations for Use:	Decree No. 1.030, Gaceta Oficial No. 34,581 of 19 July 1990.
Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions:	Coastal vegetation, deciduous forests, evergreen forests. Coral reefs, coastal mangroves, seagrass beds of lhalassia testudinum. Important refuge for fish and birds of high scenic value.
Wildlife:	Nesting and feeding areas for several species of sea turtles, large numbers of resident and migratory seabirds. Enormous diversity of marine invertebrates and fish wealth of importance to artisanal fisheries. Among mammals caramerudo deer (Odocoileus virginianus), herring whale (Balaenoptera edema), common dolphin (Delphinus delphis).
Flora:	Mangle (Rhizophora mangle) and coastal species such as grass of glass (Salicornia fruticosa, Sesuvium portulacastrum and Batis maritima), beach batatilla (pescaprae Ipomoea), several cacti like cacti (Pilosocereus sp. And Subpilocereus sp.) And guamacho (Pereskia guamacho), legumes such as mesquite yaque (Prosopis juliflora) and dividive (Caesalpinia coriaria).
Water resources:	Rios Santa Fe Nurucual, barbecues, Yaguaracual, Colorado Guaranache and Caribbean Basin
Tourist attractions:	Isla de Plata : Located in the Bay of Pertigalete has access by sea through tourist transport departing from Pier Baritila in the field or from Pamatacualito Dry Valley communities. Playa El Faro : Located on the island off Point Chimanas Second Goal and Guanta Bay has access by sea by boats that depart from Paseo Colon in Puerto La Cruz. It has a natural viewpoint, crystal clear waters, coral reefs and underwater caves with outputs.
