Venezuela Tacarigua Lagoon National Park:

NATIONAL PARK TACARIGUA LAGOON
Location:	Miranda State
Area:	39,100 hectares.
Declaration:	Decree No. 1607 created on 13 February 1974. Gaceta Oficial No. 30,307 of 22 February 1974.
Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions:	Coastal grasslands, shrublands and coastal xerophytic coastal mangroves. Valuable coastal lagoon fantastic landscape.
Wildlife:	Several species of sea turtles nest along the beaches, population Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus), important fish stocks such as mullet (Mugil lisa), mullet (Mugil curema) and shrimp and Macrobrachium Panaeus gender. Diversity of birds: red scarlet ibis (Scarlet Ibis, COTU (Phalacrocorax olivaceu), pelican (Pelicanus occidentalis), frigate (Fregata magnificens).
Flora:	These four species of mangrove Rhizophora mangle, Avicennia clearly, Laguncularia racemosa and Conocarpus erectus, coastal species such as grass of glass (Salicornia fruticosa, Sesuvium portulacastrum and Batis maritima) and sea grape (Coccoloba uvifera) species like the Cremona (Thespesia populnea ).
Water resources:	Slow drainage, pipes marshes. Caribbean Basin.
Tourist attractions:	It is a coastal lagoon where visitors can enjoy beautiful beaches with calm waters, sandy bottoms, gentle waves, the sight of birds, the majestic mangroves and beautiful scenic spots. Among the attractions are in the Coastal Barrier Sector and the Sector of the Point.
Activities Permitted:	Navigation at sea and in the lagoon in boats with a length no greater than 18 feet, outboard engine with horsepower of 10 HP and maximum speed of 12 knots (18km / h), fly fishing, hiking, beach activities, observation nature, smaller sailing, rowing, camping, picnicking.
Prohibited Activities:	Commercial fishing and hunting.
Schedules and fares:	Visiting hours at the park is from 05:00 am a 06:30 pm will be canceled for camping fee.
