Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions: | Coastal cloud forests, semi-deciduous forests, deciduous forests, coastal vegetation. | Wildlife: | It preserves the habitats of several species of endemic birds like the fafa Gargantiblanca (Margarornis tatei) and black Diglossa (Diglossa venezuelensis). Other species seen as the parakeet sietecolores (Touit Batavian) gold and quetzal (Pharomachrus fulgidus). Among the mammals are mandragón monkey (Cebus nigrivittatus), the howler monkey (Alouatta seniculus), puma (Puma concolor) and machicolation deer (Mazama americana). | Flora: | A variety of ferns, orchids and bromeliads.
