NATIONAL PARK OLD RIVER-SAN CAMILO
Location:	Apure
Area:	80,000 hectares.
Declaration:	No. 2345 dated June 5, 1992 Gaceta Oficial No. E-4599 dated 1 July 1993.
Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions:	Savannah, semi-deciduous riparian forests.
Wildlife:	Fish and river turtles, baba (Caiman crocodilus) Ilaneras birds such as herons, overcoats, and parrots. Among the mammals: fox (Cerdocyon thous), giant anteater (Giant Anteater) caramerudo deer (Odocoileus virginianus).
Flora:	Predominant formation of sheets with Axonopus, Luziola, Panicum, Paspalum and Sorghastrum. Among tree species include the dwarf (Byrsonima crasifolia and Curatella americana), Saman (Pithecellobium saman), ceiba (Ceiba pentandra), the apamate (Tabebuia rosea) and macanilla palm (Bactris sp.).
Water resources:	Sarare River, a tributary of the Rio Apure, Orinoco River basin.
Tourist attractions:	Presents training vegetated savannah high plains crossed by major rivers like the Rio Viejo, El Cutufí, El Nil, El Burguita. The park was created to protect the Forest Reserve of San Camillo and the Cutufí Forest, located a little further south at the border with Colombia.
Activities Permitted:	The observation of nature, walking, hiking, scientific research.
Prohibited Activities:	Hunting. Commercial fishing. The extraction of species of flora and fauna. The discharge of contaminants into watercourses. Sports competitions to concentrate large numbers of people. Carrying firearms or any other that may cause damage to natural resources. Expense and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
