RECREATION PARK ZOO CARICUAO | Location: | Av Principal La Hacienda, Sector-5 Caricuao UD, Caracas . | Area: | 630 hectares, with 36 developed | Declaration: | Official Gazette No. 1682 / Year 1974. | Opening: | July 31, 1977. | Wildlife: | In the lakes you can see the red scarlet ibis, heron palette, real white heron, the grove, the great blue heron and ducks road. The trees are jays, thrushes maiceros, woodpeckers, tiles, parrots, black robins, hummingbirds and thrushes. In crossing the grass and walkways are pigeons and doves rattle, the vultures fly high and golongrinas nest on the roofs of the facilities.
In the forests of the park have stood fast by ocelots, pumas, foxes, anteaters, deer, agouti, rabbits, armadillos, opossums, and numerous bats. With a little luck you will discover areas of the park a sloth hanging from a yagrumo or branch of another tree.
In the lagoons live freshwater turtles and toads. In aárboles can find iguanas and lizards. Near streams tragavenado found snakes and numerous frogs that live in damp places or under the litter.
