Junglaven Posada, A Bird of Paradise 5 Days.

Junglaven The Inn is located in the middle of the Amason. The camp offers six comfortable Churuatas with private bath, immersed in the diversity of these habitats.
This is definitely a paradise for bird watchers! The bird species diversity in Junglaven is really impressive.

Over 400 species have been recorded, including 6 tucus, 6 Tucanes, 12 carpenters and 30 Hormiguerito. Other species include herons Pechicastaña Zebra (Agami), the Harpy Eagle, Bird Váquiro the Amazonian Umbrella Bird, the fabled Red-billed Toucanet the elusive White-bellied Mielero the Pauji and the Crane. It is also a great place to find great mammals including giant river otters, fishing bats, pink river dolphins and the beautiful brown beard Saki Monkey.
Junglaven using as a base, we will have the opportunity to explore this rich bio diversity through long walks through jungle trails, boat rides on various lakes, waterways and Ventuari River, the largest sub tributary of the Orinoco River.

Day 1: Caracas - Puerto Ayacucho - Junglaven
We will take an early morning flight from Caracas to Puerto Ayacucho, along the Orinoco River. Then board a charter flight in a Cessna 201, which will take us 45 minutes to the Inn Junglaven. After a welcome lunch, we will make our first excursion to the outskirts of the camp where there are great birding opportunities. We spent the night at Posada Junglaven.

Day 2 TO 4: Junglaven Excursions
The birding tours reflect the diversity of habitats in the region. In the morning I noticed the tops of the trees in the forest edge Tilingo looking like Pico Orchard Yellow, Tilingo multiband and Tilingo Lemon, the White Front Cotinguita; the Cotinga Gargantimorada and over 10 species of parrots including Yellow Cachete The panties and Red Macaw, the Flag and the Maracana.
As the day goes by heating, we will enter into the cool interior of the forest in search of flocks of birds of different species in the foliage of the trees and the forest floor. Here, we will witness the activity of the Bump, the Hormiguerito, the Carpenter, the Creeper, the Tico-Tico and Flytrap. Other species include the Carpenter and the Carpenter Cuelliamarillo Zebra, the Guitian Reddish, the Poncha, the Bump and Bump Cap Gris Lomiblanca; the Hormiguerito in three varieties: Back Rufa, Gargantigris Costa Blanca, the Manakin Dwarf, the Titirijí Pintado; Pico and Pico Chato Chato Barbirrufo Cabecigrís.
A great opportunity is presented by the presence of swarms of ants. A variety of bird species take advantage of these accumulations as it attracts insects. This is an incredible phenomenon. Some of the birds that take advantage of this phenomenon are the Lomo Scaled Antbird, the white down the Gargantirrufo and climbers.
Additionally, we will make excursions to explore the intricate waterways of the region. At the river we find the Pescuecilargo Climber; the Ant and the Ant Climbing melanoleucos, the Streaked Antwren, the Flytrap Remoloncito, different species of Kingfisher, the ass Pauji Colorado Tigana; Burrowing Colilargo; Flytrap bordering or Alcaravancitos. Flying over our heads will appreciate Guanaguanare River, Yellow-billed Gulls and White Collar Swallows Black Belt.
Another time we visit the area of seasonally flooded forest and the Galapagos Lagoon. This habitat is distinctive and could have the opportunity to observe the Spotted Burrito, the cinnamon-rumped Tico Tico, the Ant and Gargantinegro Manakin Gargantiplateado.
If time permits, we would achieve visit the savanna surrounding the runway for an interesting birding. The following species can be seen: the Chupacacao Black, Golden Throat tailed, the Mirasol, the Carpenter Lineated the Copetón Bobito red monkey, the Orchard Bobito Crestiapagado and red men; in the bush and forest edge of this area.
Every night at Posada will Junglaven.

DAY 5: Junglaven - Puerto Ayacucho - Caracas
Early morning birding will do before taking the charter to Puerto Ayacucho, and then the commercial flight back to Caracas. Once in Caracas, we will transfer to your hotel.
