POSADA JUNGLAVEN, A BIRD OF PARADISE


5 Days / 4 nights

Junglaven The Inn is located in the middle of the Amasone. The camp offers six Churuatas comfortable with private bath, immersed in the diversity of these habitats.
This is definitely a haven for birdwatchers! The diversity of species of birds in Junglaven is really impressive.

Over 400 species have been recorded, including 6 Tucusos, Tucanes 6, 12 and 30 Hormigueritos Carpinteros. Other species including Zebra and Garzas Pechicastaña (Agami), the harpy eagle, the bird Váquiro the Umbrella Bird Amazon, the almost legendary Tucancito Red Peak, the elusive Mielero white belly, the Paují and Crane. It is also a great place to find great mammals including giant river otters, bats fishermen, pink river dolphins and the beautiful Mono Saki Barba Brown.
Junglaven using as a base, we will have the opportunity to explore this rich bio-diversity through long walks through the forest trails, boat rides on various lakes, canals and water Ventuari River, the largest sub tributary of the Orinoco River.

Day 1: Caracas - Puerto Ayacucho - Junglaven
Take an early morning flight from Caracas to Puerto Ayacucho, along the Orinoco River. Then board a charter flight in a Cessna 201, which will take us 45 minutes to the Inn Junglaven. After a welcome lunch, we will make our first trip to the outskirts of the camp where there are great opportunities for bird watching. We spent the night at Posada Junglaven.

2 to 4: Excursions Junglaven
The birding tours reflect the diversity of habitats in the region. In the morning we see the treetops at the edge of the forest looking like fruit Tilingo yellow beak, the Tilingo multiband and Tilingo Lemon, the White Cotinguita Front, the Cotinga Gargantimorada and more than 10 species including Cachete Yellow Pericos The pants and Guacamayos Red Flag and the Maracana.
As the days go by heating, cooling us inside the interior of the forest in search of flocks of birds of different species in the foliage of trees and at the bottom of the forest. Here we witness the activity of the Bump, the Hormiguerito, the Carpenter, the Climbing, the Tico-Tico and trap. Other species include Carpenter and Carpenter Cuelliamarillo Zebra, the Red Guitío; the Poncha, the Bump and Bump Cap Gris Lomiblanca; the Hormiguerito in three varieties: Back Rufa, Costa Blanca Gargantigris; Jumping the Dwarf, the Titirijí Pintado; Pico and Pico Barbirrufo Chato Chato Cabecigris.
A great opportunity presented by the presence of swarms of ants. Many species of birds take advantage of these accumulators and attracts other insects. This is an amazing phenomenon. Some of the birds that take advantage of this phenomenon are the Hormiguero Scaled Back, the White Down the Gargantirrufo; and Climbing.
Additionally, make excursions to explore the intricately water channels in the region. On the banks of the river can find the Climbing Pescuecilargo; the Hormiguero Barbinegro and Climbing Hormiguero, the Hormiguerito Rayado, the trap Remoloncito; different species Martin Pescador, the ass Paují Colorado; Tiganas; Barranqueros Colilargo, coastal or Alcaravancitos trap. Flying over our heads will appreciate Guanaguanares River, Yellow and Pico Gaviotas Golondrinas Cintura Black and White Collar.
Another time we visit the land of forests and seasonally flooded Lake Galapagos. Este hábitat es distintivo y podríamos tener la oportunidad de observar al Burrito Moteado, al Tico Tico Rabadilla Acanelada, al Hormiguero Gargantinegro y al Saltarín Gargantiplateado.
If time allows, would visit the savannah that surrounds the runway to make an interesting observation of birds. The following species can be seen: the Chupacacao Black, Golden Throat Coliverde the Mirasol, the Pechinegro Carpenter, the Red Bobito Copetón Moño the Bobito Crestiapagado Orchard and Shoulders Reds in the weeds and on the edge of the forest area.
Every night will be passed on Posada Junglaven.

DAY 5: Junglaven - Puerto Ayacucho - Caracas
Early morning birding before we take the charter to Puerto Ayacucho, and then flying back to Caracas. Once in Caracas, we will transfer to your hotel.
