In a wondrous journey through some of the Andes and more intensively, the Venezuelan plains, we will observe one of the richest places in the world fauna, undoubtedly the most spectacular in South America. Itinerary: Day 1: We left early Mérida. We stopped on the road to the moor for a good breakfast Andes. On the way to the plateau observed various colonial villages, stopping at the most picturesque places like the Plaza Bolivar Mucuhíes, the chapel of Juan Félix Sánchez in Saint Raphael Mucuchíes to get Mucubají Lagoon, a remnant of the Ice . Then walked slowly (to 3500 m there is little oxygen) to the Black Lagoon (about 1h20m), observing the local fauna and flora. This consists of small animals such as amphibians and tarantulas moorlands, rabbits, and with any luck, until deer moor. There are other animals that were never seen, except with a large fortune, like the puma and the mountain coati. The flora consists frailejones (Espeletia) and around the Black Lagoon, a forest of coloraíto (Polypepis) endangered. Back and eat at a restaurant on the moor. We continue the visit to the Eagle Peak, the highest paved road in Venezuela (reaching 4300m), and even on sunny days, cold is considerable. Here frailejones (from another species that Mucubají) reach up to 4 m called desert wasteland. Visit to the Andean Condor Recovery (explanation of project). In the afternoon we headed to Los Frailes, the hotel restored ancient monastery of great beauty, at 3200m, where we spend the night. The place deserves a good chat with a fine wine, light and warmth of a wood burning fireplace. Day 2: Morning, after an excellent breakfast, we walked over to observe the cloud forest in various places, spectacled bear habitat, deer machicolation, puma, and birds like the cock of the rock (If the group is interested in observing this species must leave the hotel at 5:00, but is optional). We also note pedimontana rain forest, reaching the typical Barinas to eat meat rod llanera. Proceed on foot to reach the state of Apure, and then we arrived late afternoon to Hato Cedral, where from the first moment, we can certainly enjoy the most impressive spectacle of the plains, the South American animals par excellence, thousands of capybaras, hundreds of deer, crocodiles and tortoises. We arrived just in time for dinner, and those interested can walk with the guide of night to see what the darkness holds surprise. Day 3: In the morning we strolled through the herd, and discover the different fauna, consisting of some of the last remaining Orinoco crocodiles, tapirs, jaguars, pumas, and hundreds of bird species, including the ubiquitous capybaras or capybaras. There is time to fish for piranhas (Carib), and command preparation. In the afternoon, we walked and also sailed Matiyure pipe, famous for its concentration of wildlife, including some rare birds.
