 I've been involved with creating digital panoramic photo from 1994 where I bought the first 800px x 600px Ricoh camera in the world. In those days, I would take a series of photos from the top of the mast of the sailboat obsession. I would then have to patch those photos on my laptop taking a very long time in Corel Draw. Stitching the digital files together to create a cylindrical panoramic experience and exported to QuickTime VR. A cylindrical panorama allows you to zoom in our out and click and drag on the image to go left or right, but as a cylinder, you can look all the way up or down.
